We arrived back in New York safely, though very tired. One of the first things we heard in the news was the tragic story about the earthquake & tsunami. I know that it happened in the west, if you happen to have family or friends in that part of Indonesia, I hope they are all safe.

I guess when one arrives at a foreign land for the 1st time, we'd need a
trusted and reliable escort whom we can rely on. one who listens and
pays attention to the customers' requests. one who knows his way around,
drives safely and knows the exact good time to visit an attraction(e.g.
when there's a lesser crowd(for shopping), or when the perfect time for
a great photo shoot(sunset by the sea) would be). Komang's been a guide
for nearly 20 years. he has a great sense of direction thru the roads
of Bali, and he drives carefully at a comfortable speed. Komang's a
friendly chap with lotsa ready information(of almost anything!!), yet he
doesn't talk much when not questioned. can't help it, but we had this
warmth-feel while with him. great guy! highly recommended be it on a
couple-holiday or big-family-vacation(he can get buses/vans). **during
our 3 days in Bali, he was sick for the 1st 2 days but he was never late
and took care of us from the early mornin till night. what can we say!
(get ready Komang, we'll be back!)

My friends and I are spending a week or two in Bali, arriving on the 19th of April 2012.
On the 20th of April we require transport from Legian to Ubud for 4 people.

was a driver guide for our family over three days on our recent
trip to Bali.Nothing was too much trouble for Komang. He came to our hotel
for a meeting to discuss options for our tours and provided a beautiful
new mini van that was very comfortable. Because we were a family with 2
childrens we thought it might be difficult to meet the needs of all
the family however with his advice we were able to accommodate all our
needs. He was also able to organise our itineraries. Komang also had a
great sense of humor which he needed

“trustworthy reliable drivers”
my mother and i visited bali at the end of may. i had emailed a few different drivers before leaving for bali and ABAS drivers were the most prompt in their reply and also gave the cheapest quote for my desired journeys. i had arranged two seperate day trips both beginning at 6am and our driver KOMANG ARTAWAN arrived at least 20 minutes early ! he is an excellant driver and his car is clean and comfortable... my mother can be quite anxious, but she was totally relaxed with komangs driving, despite the craziness of the traffic in bali. due to komang being a local to the area of trunyan, i decided to take an extra day trip there under his safe guidance and we experienced not one of the troubles i had heard of from other balinese about the traditional village and cemetary of trunyan. Because i enjoyed komangs company so much i decided to do yet another trip with him to the top of mount batur, an active volcano, which we climbed at 3am to watch the sunrise from the top, a highly recommneded journey, my favourite thing i did in bali. so obviously i can highly recommend at least KOMANG ARTAWAN of ABAS bali drivers... you will not be dissapointed.
